Earthling's seeds were planted years ago when as a little girl, founder Jill Volat, would pick flowers and scented leaves from her parents’ garden in Los Angeles and pretend to make them into magical potions for skin and hair.  As a college student in Santa Barbara, California, Jill would spend her free time and whatever extra money she had at a tiny, one of a kind shop full of natural skincare that felt like a little oasis full of magic, beauty and possibility.  These experiences inspired her to create an authentic life filled with passion, nature and wellness.

Post UCSB, Jill opened her own private landscape design business – Farmista – and went on to found the urban farming nonprofit The Edible Apartment, but there was still one piece missing: a more personal expression of her values of beauty, simplicity and wellness to share with others.  That’s when Earthling Beauty was created.

The concept behind the facial and hair serums is one of a “portable garden” where you can take all the goodness and nourishment of the natural world with you.  A portion of every Earthling sale goes directly back into The Edible Apartment to build more organic farms in Los Angeles, and, eventually all over the United States and the world.  Jill believes that all Earthlings deserve  wellness, community, beauty and the joys of a garden, and it’s her life’s mission to share the gifts of the garden with as many people as she can.
